The full 1.43:1 IMAX frame is the tallest picture in commercial cinema, and almost nowhere can put it on a wall. It needs either a 15/70mm film projector or a GT dual laser — every other IMAX system tops out at 1.90, which is a quarter less picture. 112 rooms out of the 1,775 IMAX screens open today qualify.

Domes

Listed separately because a dome's area is a projected surface worked out from its diameter by convention, not a frontal measurement. It wraps above and behind you, so it is not comparable to the screens above — ordered by diameter instead.
