⚠ Still trading, but no longer an IMAX venue. Rheged promotes 'our independent cinema' with a 60-foot giant screen and live 2026 listings; no IMAX branding. Year IMAX ended not established.

⚠ The 2021 listing records a xenon projector here, but this screen is 24.4m wide and IMAX specified that system for screens no wider than 21.3 m. Nobody has stated the projector directly, so we don't assert one — the score treats it as unknown rather than assuming the older, dimmer system.

⌷ Size is scored on the picture, not the fabric. This screen is taller than its projector's frame, so a chunk of it is never lit and doesn't count.

IMAX digital — what most “IMAX” showings actually are

dark

Screen: 447 m²
Picture: 313 m²
Screen used: 70%

5.5 m of this screen's height — 30% of it — stays dark for an IMAX 1.90 showing. The projector here can't produce the full 1.43 frame, so the top and bottom of the screen are never used at all.
